Subject: [CR]Pump with hose vs. pump with press-fit pump head

Campy's 1030 pump head seems to have been designed to replace the hose on hand pumps.

Hand pumps with hoses had more places to loose air pressure, most conspicously around the screw-on valve fittings, and the plastic hose to metal joints.

Hand pumps with hoses required two umbrella fittings or two prongs to hold them on a bike.

My problem with campy's 1030 is that it was not designed to fit a two prong set.

Were any pump heads, that screwed onto old pumps, designed to fit between two prongs?

I'm trying to find a good classic pump, with a press on type head, that will fit between the two pump prongs on my Hobbs.
