Mea Culpa. Bad photo and study of it by me. That is the butted frame tube sticker not the straight guage sticker. The basic argument that high quality frames have the full set of tubing still applies and it just is not the correct sticker, or vintage of sticker, for an Eisentraut.

> All too often what is said about a bike or frame at the time of

\r?\n> sale is just not so and repeating it doesn't make it ok. A

\r?\n> little due diligence is required before a person asserts a bike

\r?\n> is thus and such, even with the caveat that this is based merely

\r?\n> on the former owners assertions.

\r?\n>

\r?\n> Just as a for instance, I really doubt this bike is made with

\r?\n> straight guage Reynolds 531 main tubes, but thats what the

\r?\n> sticker indicates.

\r?\n> This is kind of bike identification 101 and is an immediate tip

\r?\n> off (without Bruce Gordon's level of expertise) that the frame

\r?\n> has been "refinished". Other than Raleigh Super Courses and a

\r?\n> few oddballs (CCM, Dawes, some Holdsworths come to mind)

\r?\n> straight guage 531 just does not show up in many frames in the

\r?\n> US and no custom or semi-custom ones that I know of.
