Checking through some notes I made on wheel combinations that I have built up over the years, I found the following sizes for the wheels Peter asked a bout:-
Airlite L/F on 27" Dunlop Special rims, with 32H X 3 cross on t he front, and 40H x 4 cross on the rear.
My notes state that I used 11.7/8" (302mm) on the front and 12" (305mm) on the rear.
As no one has brought the wheels back, or complained, I assume that they he ld up well and delivered the goods, so to speak.
