I can speak from experience that Evapo-Rust is not a product that can reach into a frame's finish and suck the rust out of the finish. Evapo-Rust won't leave shiny little bits of exposed metal, ready for touch-up primer and touch-up paint. When rust starts in a frame, it reaches into the surrounding paint areas and stains the paint. I attempted to use Evapo-Rust on a rusty 1977 CARLTON Professional Frameset. The frame had great decals, great clearcoat ( a little yellowed, turning the silver finish to light golden ), but there were rust pimples on every square inch of the frame.
