maybe some of you folks have collections or a few other local cyclie racing rags?
i was fortunate enuf to be given a huge collection of a local race team mt oread outta lawrence kansas from the 70s its really fun to read thru em many of those racers are still in the area including david conrad who rode the tour of ireland for colt 45 in the early 80s steve and chris tilford who both still race theyre of the old school (theyre from topeka-about 60 miles from kansas city) they ride their machines to the local 'cross races kick arse then ride home recently was reading an old velo news when it was folded newsprint about steve taking the national 'cross title that was in '82 or '83 yet today rarely can the youger locals beat him even when he crashes like a coupla wks ago into a lightly frozen lake swam out fished his machine outta the water caught the pack n won his wife trudy gave him a ride home that day who can blame him after a swim in 30 degree weather.... anyhoos im interested in any local racing rags anytime previous to the end of the cr timeline lmk if ya have any youd part with or copy thanks again yall peace sarahgibsonkansascity
