This type of hanger was also made by CLB-Angenieux. I think that spelling is pretty close/correct anyway. I still have (somewhere-- there have been a few too many moves) both English and French catalogues from late '70s. CLB had about 8 variations on the design and the catalogue had line drawings of each. A\The design was a good functional idea, too!

I just checked my 2 early '70s stainless-fender Gitanes. The MAFACs are both the usual attachment-- the mens fender is firmed up by rack fore and aft bolts, and the mixte has a vertical bolt thru the seatstay, but the MAFAC is on the lower mixte stay.
