Replying to Emmanuel's request for information about Trevor Jarvis, the last news that I had was that he may not be supplying any more fancy-lugged frames.

I didn't receive this info from Trevor himself, but from Ken Janes (see the posting last week on the List..ref Ken on the Hetchins web-site). Ken told me about nine months ago, that having reached the age of 80+ and now suffering the delayed after-effects of being wounded in WWII, he had decided to put down his files for good..but very reluctantly. At the same time he told me that he had just one set of lugs to cut, before retirement, and these were for Trevor. Apparently Ken had done the lug-cutting for TJ Cycles for some time. There is always the possibility that Trevor has found another cutter, but these days, in the UK, such craftsmen are few and far between, and nearly always the wrong side of 65.

If you don't find anyone to build a frame for you, you could always contact Ray Etherton, a member of this List, who keeps finding sets of fancy lugs, such as Hetchins', that he sells on Ebay from time to time..and then contract an American builder to do the actual buidling.
