List- For Sale- serial# dated 1978 Jack Taylor fillet-brazed Super Touring Tandem, complete bike, in excellent condition. includes matching taylor front and rear racks with matching serial numbers. 23.5"x23.5" center to center double "gents" frame, and the seat tubes have extensions to make it 25"x25" center to top. original black enamel in excellent condition with white box lining and original mondian decals in excellent conditon. full 531 tubes, forks, and stays, campagnolo ends. disc brake cable stop, down tube braze ones, mudguard eyes, rack "lugs" (as the invoice calls them), three sets TA bottle braze ons.
includes original bill of sale, original detail spec sheet, correspondence between taylors and original owner regarding a spare headset, original cupertino bike shop receipt detailing original build, original phil disc brake installation and spec sheet, and copies of the 1978 jack taylor catalog.
PARTS- all original to the first build on the bike, as indicated by the cupertino receipt, EXCEPT for the chainset, the saddles and captain's bars. moustache bar and technomic deluxe stem up front, at some point the TA chainset was replaced with a sugino AT tandem chainset triple touring configuration, and the s2 avocet TII saddles were replaced with 2 brooks leather saddles.
