Aldo, You do a wonderful job on publishing Pick of the day, really appreciate it. The Rome-Naples-Rome was I believe renamed as the Grand Prix Cyclomototriste de Nations in the late 50's or early 60's. In Paris during the same period there was a Spring race called the Circuit du Lac Daumesnil which was organized by the Velo club du 12 (12 is the arrondissement Daumesnil). This race was sponsored by Vespa scooters and France-Soir the newspaper and publicized as the biggest criteriun in the world. If I remember rightly one of the races was a 11km scooter paced race. The circuit was in Daumesnil park around a lake. This park is very close to the Bois du Vincennes and close to the Paris Municipal track. All the top professional road and track men use to ride this event. --
