Subject: [CR]Louison Bobet's '1954' Yellow Jersey

For those with deep pockets or just interested in the most collectable jerseys.

Louison Bobet Tour de France reigning champion exhibition yellow jersey from 1954, is to be auctioned by Sothebys in London on May 9th. Bobet was of course the first rider to win three Tours in a row, 1953-1955.

Bobet passed the jersey to a leading English rider Vic Gibbons, who for those who don't know of him, was a prolific time trial winner in the 1950's and the British Best All Rounder.

The jersey is described as " yellow with short sleeves, tricolour trim, zip collar, with the embroidered initials HD (Henry Desgranges)." The jersey comes with a letter of authenticity from Louison's brother Jean Bobet, Louison having died in 1983.
