As I recall, this bike was 18 lbs when weighed with pedals! I am the first guy to tout that reliability is "Paramount", and that weight-weenies almost always compromise reliability. In this case, yeah, rough-and-tumble reliability will be compromised, but all of the modifications were very thoughtfully done. For instance, the edges of the milling on the brake calipers were softened which may reduce the opportunity for stress-risers. Also, I don't know if it's been done before, but the Campy titanium pedal axles that were used in the "widowmaker" Cinelli M-71 pedals were expertly fitted. Also, the steel-railed Unicanitor saddle is extremely durable...
