Subject: [CR]Phase II - Raleigh fun

Hi folks,

Thanks for your help, & thank you Mr. Brown for your site. I managed to get get the recalcitrant cup off with a variant on what you had.

My next phase on this lovely project is to either replace the bottom bracket, & cranks with a cotterless (the prefered outcome)or to put it back together. Since this bike is neat, but not really that nifty, I really don't want to go to great exepense on it's behalf.

The question I have is pretty simple. Is there an inexpensive way to put a different (cotterless) bottom bracket into the 71mm shell?

A secondary question comes up, since I live the the hilly Puget Sound area, would be appropriate size to make this a triple vs. the double that it's standard with?

Hope that's not too much potential blasphemy for one post.

Thanks for your time, & comments as always
