Subject: [CR]Woodside,California ride report

It was another beautiful day in Woodside (that's California ) yesterday and we had an interesting turn out with a couple of sub themes. Riders and Bikes Sarah Clementson on a Jack Taylor Tourist sporting full racks and fenders Dave Clementson on a Jack Taylor Tourist again with full touring kit Guy Apple on a Jack Taylor Tourist with ditto Got a theme here? Marc st Martin on a Chrome Rene Herse touring bike Myself on my WB Hurlow (thanks again Dave M and ED Litton) Another sub theme here is above are all triples certainly the first time I could remember there being this many on one of our rides Greg Davis showed up on his Windsor Pro for its virgin outing wearing a Windsor jersey he has had in mothballs since 1980 In the Best for Last category we had 2 new riders Eric Meddaugh on a immaculate Raleigh Competition that he discovered under a layer of grease and grime at a local shop Charles Colerich on a likewise Andre Bertin (first time I remember this make on any of the rides)

I will not bore you all with the details of the ride other than to say the weather was perfect, the roads uncrowded and the companionship terrific. after the ride we adjourned to our usual table in the shade to enjoy our lunch . We got to talk the "Vintage Talk" plus discuss world travel with a detour to CHE GUEVARRA. I managed to leave my Camera at home(these days I'm lucky to show up with my bike and shoes) in lieu of ride photos I am posting a picture of new rider Charles Colerich at the finish of the Sandia Crest TT in 1976 which finished at an altitude of 10,600 feet (Alp De WHAT?)(hopefully with his permission)
