Subject: [CR]Arc En Ciel Rims

Now that I have my trash-picked PX-10, I've been thinking of putting my trash-picked Campy hubbed wheelset on it. I was wondering about the rims. They're Super Champion tubular rims with an Arc En Ciel decal on them. I don't know anything about that brand, or what the arc en ciel is supposed to mean. I have seen it mentioned as being on some PX-10 frames. For the most part, I don't care that much about things being vintage or matching up, but in the interest of asking, would the rims be too out of place on a PX-10? What does the arc en ciel mean?

And as for tubulars. Being 40, I've never used them. Is there a good low-end tubular I could try the rims out with? I don't want to spend much. I'll keep the steel Araya Rims with the Normandy Luxe Competition hubs around for everyday use. Santa Fe is goathead city, and it has always looked like tubulars are a real bear to patch. I'm afraid I have to rely on Slime to get anywhere this time of year without having to patch a flat. I have always been curious about tubulars, and I have the rims, so it seems I may as well use them.
