Well, my saddle is a Champion Swallow, and a picture can be found on p. 286 on the 1939 Brown Brothers catalogue CD ROM for sale some time ago on CR.

There it says clearly "B 17 Champion Swallow". My saddle has loops instead of the slots shown in the picture, but I think as chances are minute of getting a Swallow, or any top of the range Brooks, that is undoubtedly 1939 without the shadow of a doubt, and NOS to boot, my Swallow (which I brought from the UK some years ago, bought for a pittance in a closing down shop) will end up on the Saxon this weekend. The bike is already much transformed when compared to its picture on wooly, and looks really super. There will be cider on the occasion of the un-NOSsing of the Swallow, and anyone willing to join me (my wife and son are on holidays) is most welcome.
