The delightful lunch ride was somewhat tempered by the 3/32 inch sidewall cut with protruding tube that I noticed post-ride. Heard/felt a bit of a ping from the road debris, shrugged it off and pretty well wound it up near the end of the ride. Probably had 105 psi up front and it hasn't blown yet (30 minutes later). I just love those Hutchinson Tempo 1 (and 2) tubulars. Approximately $25.00 for a fresh one and a tube of Conti will have me up and running again. Training tires (aka cheap sewups) have been very good to me. In fact, I'd be very happy to have a few dozen Clement 50s.
It has been about 30 years since I've repaired a tubular, but I'll open and boot this one for a spare.
