Thanks again to all who helped me with info and advice on my Kuwahara Apollo restoration. The bike is completed except for the custom headbadge I'm working on and I have photos posted on Flickr. My album is under GeorgeR2006. There are 2 before pics of the frame and 2 shots of the built up bike. I took some creative license as I never really did get to see a pic of an Apollo Imperial. All parts are original except for the replaced black DA calipers and the Black Modolo levers and AME hoods.

I had the frame blasted and powdercoated which I know is not ideal but I don't think the bike has tremendous collectable value so I figured I'd make it pretty and ride it. I am happy with the finish except for a few minor details that the finisher ignored...

Oh and yes I am a bonehead and I installed the downtube levers below the brazed on stop AND cut the cables before realizing it. I will buy new cables and re-install it. Does anyone know of a small "Dura Ace" decal that is similar to the popular Campy oval one? The shifters actually slid down the tube under tension and scratched the paint a little bit and I'd like to cover it up.

Thanks again to all. George Ramos Portland, OR USA
