Just a reminder as the date draws near. So far we have about 15 people attending and some of List Members from the East Coast wishing they were able to attend (We'll raise a glass to them too!). I've made reservations for 20 people so theres still room. If you have a bike from the 40s-60s we'd sure like to see you riding it and all the better if a jersey is worn from that time period. Hello All,
I'm planning a Fausto Coppi Memorial Ride and Luncheon on Saturday, Jan. 6th. We'll meet at Woodside School at 9:30 and leave at 10:00. We'll do our regular route, which is about 25 miles with some hills, the pace will be leisure. After the ride, we'll meet at Boca de Beppo in Palo Alto and have a hearty Italian meal that mama Coppi would surely approve of, raise our glasses and salute the fallen Campionissimo, Fausto Coppi! The long range forecast calls for clear skies on Sat., but in the event of rain we'll just do lunch. I'm making the lunch reservation for 2:30, if we get there early we can always raid Palo Alto Bike Shop and look for the poster of Peter Johnson when he had long hair : )
Please let me know soon if you're attending, so I can finalise the reservation. So far we have 11 people attending... the more the merrier.
