I'm no Colnago expert but after much archive searching and the help of a knowledgeable collector I've come to the conclusion this frame is from about '79-'82. Single bottle cage, above BB cable guides, chrome on right chain-stay, Colnago drop-outs (G 16 stamped on right drop-out), clamp-on front der, fork has spade in tangs, rear spacing is about 125 (maybe was a 120 bike originally?)

Condition of frame: This is a very nice "rider". A low mileage bike with pretty good paint and excellent chrome. Worst flaws are two small top-tube dings and long scratches on top-tube (see 4th photo). There's also scratches on the seat-stays. But the paint is not "fragile" (not falling off) and overall is pleasing. The chrome on the chain-stay and fork is excellent. No rust on this bike. The decals are pretty good. They are curling up a bit on the edges and the DT one has some tears out of it. They are not clear coated so could be replaced (although I think they match the bike perfectly and would not change them).

Parts: (Wheelset shown in pictures is not included). This bike was in storage for years and the original wheelset was lost. Drivetrain, HS, BB, pedals, and brakeset are Galli. Crank is beautiful, and ders are very nice as well. The calipers are good but do have some oxidation on the chrome-steel small hardware. The levers are the only bad part on the bike, they are very scratched up, and have incorrect hoods. The post is a TTT branded Galli and is very nice. Bar/stem is Cinelli 1A and Mod 66-40. Both are early 80's logo, and very clean. Stem is 11cm. Saddle is a Cinelli Unicanitor #4 padded leather. The Galli HS and BB are tapered rolling bearing type and in perfect working order.

Size: ST 60cm c-c, TT 58cm c-c, Standover 33 3/4 inches. Crank 170 52/42.

The bike has been completely disassembled, cleaned, and rebuilt with fresh grease in the HS and BB. Fresh Benotto tape on the bars. Just install your wheels and go.

Price for bike as show MINUS WHEELSET is $600 plus actual shipping. Links to photos below.
