Hi Todd,
In the chroming process the fork will be dipped into an acid bath. If the acid gets trapped in the blades, it can corrode them, so the blades need to have drip hole drilled into them both on the top and bottom. After the chroming process is completed, the fork needs to be put into a bath of neutralizing solution to wash out the acids. If this is not done properly, the acid can stay trapped and roit begins.
Hope this helps. God bless, Anthony Mezzatesta Mezzatesta Custom Cycles 909 Berkley Manor Dr. Cranberry Twp, Pa 16066 724 498 4191
