Joe and Aldo, Surprised you both didn't notice that jersey Baldini is wearing! I didn' t check the records, but that sure looks like a world champion jersey to me, stripes and all. Wonder if the up and coming collar style showed up because world champ jerseys tend to be cutting edge, as the sponsers th at make the jerseys, want their latest/hotest style on public display? I'm restoring a '58 Ideor road bike, so I'm checking out those parts. Ta king a close look at that front hub I can see what Joes sees: the center spindle of the hub seems polished, while the flanges seem dull (classic 3 pc hub). Yet I have a pair of FB low flange hubs from the 50's and th ey don't have a clip of any kind on the spindle, as in the photo. So the hubs might be Campy 3 pc hubs? Except for that funky almost conical qui ck release lever?

By the way, does this photo confirm that the correct water bottle(s) and cage(s) for a '58 pro road bike would have been spring loaded flat shee t metal cylinder cages on the down tube and handlebars, and plastic bott le with flat cap? Was about to bid on a TA single clamp on cage, and am hesitating. Bill Ungar Torrance, CA USA
