Subject: [CR]Spring Project

... just got an early start on my spring project .... from about several years ago. about a plain jane '85 or so nos Rossin. i'm sure you remember these, a light blue to white fade with the 'thatch" overspray in the middle. yellow red thick stickers etc .... i think spokes one back here was a dealer then. nothing special to most folks but i always liked them. the fork was a bit "shop worn" so Cyclart handled a really nice chrome redo. as for the parts, they are all nos (thank you ebay) ... period Mavic SSC, and no, not the star crank, but the earlier one that looks more proper. left the built wheels that came with it, mavic ma-40 in mint grey with no sidewall wear. the cables are now Clark's (easy glide racer set) in light blue (anyone recall these). and yes, the pedals are the real deal too. kind of wish i had this back then but maybe it's better this way. what else can we say ... over and out. robert clair alexandria, va ... and yes, it's going to get darn cold for the next few days, but otherwise this winter has so far been kind to us here.
