(rode a very hard hilly 25 km Time Trial today on my early '60's Falcon with 72" fixed. Only one of about 3 steel frames amongst the 70 or so Off Topic carbon/alloy disk wheeled tri bar 20 spds. And definitely the only one with fixed gear, a Brooks B17 saddle, Airlite hubs and wingnuts. Oh and thanks to Paul Raley, a nice 4.1/4" GB stem had me properly positioned to honk on the tough uphills and bounce in the saddle at about 150 rpm on the descents.)

Accompanying them on this day is Luxembourg's Elsy Jacobs, 1958 World
Road Champion and Women's World Hour Record holder. Jacobs record of
41.347kms, set on 9th November 1958, lasted fourteen years.
