The most popular bars I remember from my experience in the UK in the 1950s were the Maes bend. These are pretty much the same as you'd find on most OT bikes from the 70s and 80s. However, these Maitland Road bars are quite unusual. http://tinyurl.com/37a4ss However, I do remember seeing bars very much like like those on some bikes imported into the UK in 1950s. Anyone know what they would have been? French? Italian?
