I just polished the crud off the aluminum clinchers(700c) and there are faint stampings on each "NISI Montecalieri Torino Italy". Thanks for the input from the list. I may go with wood rims. The next challenge is to restore and make functional the Vittoria Margherita shift mechanism. The spiral wound shift cable is hopelessly kinked and will have to be replaced. A more minor problem is to weld 3 cracks in the aluminum chainwheel at the base and sides of the letter G in the decorative GMA motif of the chainwheel. The teeth show relatively little wear,so the built in downtube oiler system was used frequently. This is more fun than a new pony under the Christmas tree. Art Link,San Antonio,TX
