I am cobfused about the right spindle length for a BSC threaded BB mated to a post- '78 Super Record double -- I've seen 114.5, 116, 120 , with or without offset, etc. quoted as the required length.

Does the spindle length differ based on brand (e.g. Campy or Stronglight or Phil or OMAS, all good possibilities)?
