This an odd variant also. I have the version like this: http://homepage3.nifty.com/passhunter/hunter/huret/fds1.htm

which I really like. It has a little spring gate at the front of the nose that stops the chain crunch on big upshifts.

This one looks to have an earlier, more Jubilee styled cage and not be CPSC compliant (or whatever was thought to be compliant at that time).

They work great and I have always looked for them, but even the spring gate ones are a bit rare.

> Mike,

\r?\n> it is because it is a long cage and because it has that cool sticker

\r?\n> on it. It is visible in he Rene Herse book, and probably the

\r?\n> Toei book

\r?\n> as well, as his bikes love to have the old stuff on it. I was tempted

\r?\n> on bidding on it as well, as there is a project that needs that as

\r?\n> well, well at least from the original build specs. It is a very nice

\r?\n> derailleur that is not that common to find on Ebay.

\r?\n> Four bidders from the land of the rising sun slugged it out and
