This is a link to the tranlated page on the Tonton Velo Site about the Chemineau bicycles and derailers. The French version is http://site.voila.fr/tontonvelo/LeChemineau.htm or go to the site and click on "Chemineau"

I have started trying harder to research the Chemineau because I have one, and it is one of only two that I know of in the US. They are significant not only because they are very light, (tres legere, I think), but as far as I know, the derailer never changed from it's inception, and it was the first commercially successful one. My bike has Durifort double butted tubing and duralumin components.

It appears from the pages on this site that there were catalogs produced. I am going to try to find out if any have been reproduced and put on line somewhere. I am hampered somewhat by not being able to read French, but the Google translator helps a lot.

If anyone has any information about the different models Chemineau offered, and what components were used, please let me know. The handlebar stem and the fenders on my bike have been replaced, and I would like to know what the original were, but beyond that, it would be interesting to gain more information than what is generally known about the marque.

Thanks for your interest.

P.S. Last I knew, Hillary Stone had a Chemineau. I think I will write to him off list.
