I have a 50/32 Zeus crankset with a 14/28 5 speed freewheel on my Italian Mystery Bike. Tried it with a Nuovo Record just for kicks ... it didn't work. Changed to a Super Record and can use all 10 gears ... been riding that way for months. (I tried a 53/36 combination at first but found that I only had 6 or 7 good gears).
