I've had this built up for almost a year after purchasing the frameset on eBay. The brand is "VALGAN" and model is "Chambord". Nobody has been able to offer any info on the bike. I suspect it may have been made for and marketed by either a small French Exporter or perhaps a US Importer. Lugged steel frameset is Super Vitus 971 Extra Legere and the large 60cm frame with fork weighs only a total of 5 pounds, 13 ounces (2600 grams) - which ain't bad. All French threads, and the tubing was first produced in the late 70s, but that's most of what I know to help narrow down the time of production.

It's really a wonderful riding bike, and I'm just curious if anyone has info about who may have actually made this bike. Perhaps someone may have once seen one for sale in a shop somewhere - perhaps 25 years ago? Appreciate any info. See Photos and details here:
