Hey All:

Re-Announcing the St. Patrick's Day Old Bike Ride and Antique Bike Viewing, coming up in just a week and a half in Davis, CA.

CR era bikes are encouraged, but we won't turn up our noses at modern rides.

When: Saturday, March 17, 9:30 AM Where: Starting at UC Davis CA, looping about 33 miles on flat roads (fixed gear absolutely fine) to Winters and back, to a 1:30 PM lunch at Cantina del Cabo in downtown Davis. Bikes will be PARKED INSIDE THE CANTINA! Yup, you can munch, drink green beer, and check out bikes up close all at once in air-conditioned comfort... ...after which we'll ride back over to the UC Davis campus and look at really old bikes: UC Davis' collection of over 70 antiques, mostly predating 1900. They're usually not open to the public (at least, not yet) but on St. Paddy's Day, YOU'RE IN!

Rain or high winds? The ride itself will cancel, but folks are still encouraged to come to lunch at the Cantina (bring your bikes!) and to the antiques viewing.

Write me with your RSVP. All those already in, or writing me, will get a route map in a day or two. But do write -- I need to coordinate lunch service at Cantina.
