Subject: [CR]Suntour Sprint crank taper angle

Because of the rarity factor of Suntour Superbe bottom brackets the price of these odd eggs have reached stratuspheric proportions. I have actually seen the spindle alone going for 80 bucks in only so so condition on Ebay. I have two bikes that have Suntour Superbe cranks but only one of them has the Superbe bottom bracket. The other has a Campy spindle which provides a slightly different chain line but an acceptable fit for the taper.

Recently a friend called me on the phone and told me that his Suntour Sprint bottom bracket appears to mate with Superbe crank in an identical fashion. Could it possibly be that the Sprint taper was the same as the Superbe. His Sprint bottom bracket does not say Suntour on it, but instead has the Specialized double flag stamp. What's the deal here? I have always heard that the Superbe taper was the only Suntour product with this feature.
