Good day all,

I'm offering for sale to the list a very nice 59 c-t Gazelle Champion Mondial AA-frame, vintage 1979. The AA-frame was top of the line at that time, that is one step below the 753 frame and above the A-frame and the AB-frame (later came the AA-Special and the AA-Super).

The AA-frame distinguishes itself by a better quality bb-shell (Roto microfusion) and fork crown and the engraved Gazelle on the fork crown. Wha t really makes the AA stand out is the 'X' shaped reinforcement between the chainstays (at that time all the Champion Mondial´s had the ´butterfly ´ brake bridge).

As said the frame is 59 c-t, has a 56 c-c toptube, and wheelbase is 99 cm. It's made from Reynolds 531 DB tubing. The colour is 'Brussels blue' with yellow lettering and lug-lining; the front fork is fully chromed. Chrome is in perfect condition, paint is very good: just a few chips and scratches. The Campagnolo Record headset is included.

Pics are here: http://www.wooljersey.com/gallery/Freeks-racefietsen/gazel le+aa+79/

Price is $ 185, including the headset. For $ 15 I'll add the Gazelle pantographed gearlevers (last pic in the album). Shipping from the Netherlands to the USA (Priority, insured up to 145 euros) is $ 80. Paypal very much preferred!

PS: For those list members not familiar with the Gazelle name in bikeracing, check out these pro teams of the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s: Willem II - Gazelle (with Harm Ottenbros, world champion in 69, Peter Post, Rene Pijnen and Rik van Looy), Frisol - Gazelle (in 1977 Jan Raas won Milan - San Remo on a Champion Mondial, which really started off his career and brought him back to TI-Raleigh), Cote d'Or - DAF trucks -Gazelle (with Henny Kuiper and Roger de Vlaeminck) and TVM (one of the last pro/teams to ride steel, lugged frames).
