To day the weather is great 60s sunny, snow all gone, Took the 51 Bates and got it ready for the SUMMER!, off with the mudguars(FENDERS) off with the Baycliff bag, ON with the TIRE SAVERS! tire sweeps or what ever? I have been usuing them for many many years. The GOOD part. They SEEM to work, who knows? I STILL do get flats,BUT they do seem to be in the side of the tire, not the top, The BAD, they are noisy. Hum,.Hum Hum, the UGLY they send dust all over the frame, SO,in my mind, for what its worth, something is better than nothing.IF you can put up with the negs. One other thing you get other riders asking all the time what they are. My lamp bracket on the front fork of the Bates, make a real good hanger for my helmet, YES I DO WEAR A HELMET, and NOT a hairnet type, have got lots of comments about the bracket, Now I just say, well the Brits think of everything, EVEN a place to hang your hat!
