Actually, the funny thing is, the one that attracted $240 is actually a 2nd-generation seatpost, as you can just barely make out the dashed insertion lines (which I think were added for CPSC or some similar reason, maybe in 1977.)

The afore-mentioned first generation post has now attracted one bid. One thing you have to be careful with on 1st generation SR seatposts is that there exist 130 mm seatposts that came that way from the factory, and those posts usually sell for much less $$ than full-length seatposts. I cannot tell for certain if the first generation post is a short or long one; the wide-angle picture makes it hard to determine.
