Subject: [CR]removing old graphics

I have an old Jack Taylor. I want to remove what's left of the old graphics (which are hardened, brittle, and mostly flaked off), and apply some new ones. What's left of the old graphics is somewhat tenacious though. I'm wondering if anyone here has a method of removing the old graphics that will not also remove the paint underneath. Seems like there ought to be something that would work. I was thinking of citrus-based paint-remover, perhaps...leave it on long enough to remove the decals, but not so long that it eats away the paint.

I could gently scrape them off..this seems very slow, and would scratch the paint to boot.

Any other brilliant ideas? I can't say I'm too thrilled with mine. In any case, I haven't tried anything stronger than car-wax yet. That didn't do much..

Thanks.
