Without actually seeing the bike, I'd say you have pretty good odds it is a Dale Saso frame. He did a fair amount of fillet brazed frames. I believe he still lives in San Jose. You can probably look him up.

I picked up a track bike today which I am unable to identify.

It is a combination of fillet-brazed and lugged with Campagnolo drop-outs. The only decals on the bike are the tubing decals which indicate Tange Prestige Cro-Mo double butted tubes. It is very lightweight. There are no serial numbers under the bottom bracket. The person from whom I purchased the bike said that he purchased it for his daughter about ten years ago. It was previously owned by someone who "used it regularly at Hellyer Park Velodrome in San Jose, CA." He thinks it might be a Dale Saso. I would venture to guess that it is a California builder.
