Subject: [CR]Why Masi

Thanks Gary Glenn for your posting. I love this. Mojo. Not resale revalue. Talk about Masis that doesn't make me wish I had a attorney present.

I especially love the Alfa Romeo analogy. My dad collected Alfas. He had six of them. An Alfa was our family car. But my dad would have had a stroke if I pined for an Italian bike that was built... in California! Maybe that was because we had Italian cars in the family but always French or British bikes. I just assumed Dave's Masi was Italian. And yep I just cannot get off on a California-built bike let alone a Masi. Frankly I wanted Dave to ride a Raleigh Pro. But the best thing about all this is the sheer Italian passion even California-built Masis evoke. I love that. I don't give a toss about eBay bids. But if a bike has mojo like an Alfa does, well I can appreciate that. And your post brings this whole thing back into perspective. Thanks.
