Subject: [CR]Early 70's De Rosa frameset to trade for???

Hi all,

I thought I'd try the list before putting this frameset on eBay. It's a circa 1973 De Rosa frame and fork that is in great condition except for the paint. I don't know whether the paint is original or not, but to my eyes it looks like it was repainted/redecaled, then sat in some sunny area for a while (thus causing fade), then the decals were peeled off leaving a brighter shade of the red where the decals were. That's just my guess as the frameset came from Europe through a middleman and no history is known.

I emailed photos to De Rosa quite a while back and they thought the frame to be around '73 or thereabouts. There are no dings/dents that I am aware of, and this would make an excellent project for any De Rosa fan. The slightly sloping fork crown is sort of unique and I don't recall seeing it on other early De Rosas. Some photos can be viewed here:

I am looking to trade it off for other interesting vintage bikes/framesets/what-have-you. Interested mostly on very high end stuff but my tastes are eclectic so you never know. :-)

Cheers,
