Freek Faro asked about Cinelli handlebars with three serrations vs. one wider one.
I don't know when the longer markings started so I'll spread a rumour: I associate them with the 1/R stem, which has a wider handlebar clamp than the 1/A.
For what it's worth the 1/R infested the pelloton in 1975.
