Subject: [CR]FS: 1978 and 1980 Gazelle Mondial frames 53 c-t

Good day all,

Next Sunday being the day that the only serious Dutch classic is held (yes, the Amstel Gold Race), it seems appropriate to offer these two excellent Gazelle Champion Mondial frames to the list.

I have given some background info about the Gazelle racing frames to the list before, so this time I will just refer to the archives. Oh, did I mention that present Rabo Bank team manager Erik Breukink, former TdF stage winner and 3rd place in 1990, Giro stage winner (Gavia), etc., is the son of former Gazelle CEO Wim Breukink?

Anyway, I'd like to sell these two frames to the list. The 'Brussels Blue' one is from 1978, the silver one is from 1980. They both have 53 c-t seattubes, and 54,5 c-c toptubes. The silver one has eyelets on the dropouts, and has a slightly longer wheelbase: 99,5 vs. 98,5 of the blue frame.

Paint of both frames is in excellent condition, the silver one being ever so slightly nicer. For pics, click the links:

You will notice that between 78 and 80, Gazelle changed some details on the frames. The blue frame comes with a matching yellow (used) cableset, probably Clark's. They both don't come with the headsets you see in the pictures, these have found other destinations. And of course I fitted the tubular wheels only for the purpose of showing how the bike will look. I will supply Campy gearlevers with the frames, if the buyer so wishes. Or a framepump, if I can find one that fits.

Price for each frame is $ 150, shipping to the USA is $ 85 (priority airmail, insured). Payment through Paypal (faro@cistron.nl) is very much preferred.

I will try to answer questions as much as I can, and will handle interested parties on a first-come-first-served basis.

Thanks for looking! And don't forget to watch the Amstel Gold Race if you can, you will see some hilly scenery, not commonly associated with the low countries!
