I'll just say that one man's pissing match is another man's attempt to get the facts straight. Jan and me? We agree on the facts but have clearly come to different conclusions.

I believe the purpose of the CR list is to discuss these things and further the historical knowledge of vintage lightweight bicycles. I'm saddened that many on this list have a problem with this and see it as a pissing match. I'm also equally saddened that so few feel the need to contribute what they know to the discussion for fear of getting their egos bruised.

Too bad, so sad... anyway all this is keeping me away from my goal today... I'm going to re-rake the fork on my Confente to see how that affects the handling. Just something I've always been curious about.
