I seem to recall that the Specialized Cranksets were made by Ofmega, and
were very similar to their Mistral model. Many years ago when I owned a
bike shop here in Eugene, I "converted" three Specialized road sets to
use on a tandem, installing heli-coils to correct the pedal threading.
