Idle conjecture... Regina first made a drilled chain for Eddy's hour record in October 1972. I don't know how soon after that the Regina Record drilled chain was offered for sale to the public. I'd guess, maybe, I don't actually know, no reference, that the Everest slotted chain was a response to the Regina drilled chain... someone?
