wonder what happened to the other coin. also this one is gold, but my coins are greyish/chrome/silver and most of the coins i have seen, are grey-silver-chrome.

the fork in the photo doesn't have coins but the Gios logo etched into the crown and painted red.

just barely getting caught up in all my digests and why i'm getting late responding or this has already been clarified

For those who don't know, it's a decorative molded plastic cap that fits into a special matching space in the top of the fork crown, on a limited range of Gios frames. Each crown gets two, but this auction is for one only.

When was that anyway - late 70s-early 80s maybe? This picture from '77 might show a coin, but the angle isn't good enough to tell:
