Subject: [CR]FS. 1979 Holdsworth Track Bike, Complete $600 or B/O

I purchased this bike year ago while visiting former CR List member while at the Copake Auction. The bike was sold to them as a 1979 Show Bike from the New York Cycling Show or what ever show was held in NY in those days, so I assume its pedegree is correct. The bike sat in storage while I lived in Boston, and along with a few other bikes took corrosion damage while in a commercial storage facility, Public Storage. The bike is fully restorable as most parts should take a good cleaning, but the frame will need new paint and chrome. The frame is black with Holdworth transfer and one Campagnolo transfer. Not sure if the transfers are available, but should be easily reproducable as they are a simple white "Holdsworth".

The frame is 55cm CC with a 56cm top tube CC, with a Zues 52T chainset with Sorgia Competition pedals. The chain will need replacing. Wheels are Shimano high flange track 32H laced to Ambrosio Super Pro Durex dark grey ano rims. Stem is Cinelli 110cm with Cinelli Criterium 38-40 bars. Headset is Campag track. Seat post looks to be Nuovo Record 27.2 with a Suede Selle Italia saddle that should clean up well. A said the chain will need replacing, the chainset bolts may clean up or need replacing, but most other parts should clean up very well.

I paid about $1000 for the Holdsworth years ago. My asking price is $600 or Best offer. I'd like to see her get restored and with a list member who will appreciate her.
