i had a nishiki pro, bought new at the end of 1980. as a frame/fork it was 360 bucks on sale. it was pearl white with red outlines around the lugs and had hearts brazed on back of the down tube to stop the cable guide clamps from migrating, also outlined. and it had the N cut out BB shell, i really liked the decals, very minimalist. i found it to be amazingly springy. it practially leaped off the ground from a standstill if i pushed the pedals real hard and fast. and i broke mine too! typical cracks behind the head lugs after about 13 years of abuse. it was my only bike then and i did ride it hard even tho my average weight has been about 115. devon warner having fond memories in san francisco, ca
