Thanks for the interest in the fork crown mark that we all thought was very euro-looking; the short, wide cross like the swiss flag. I found the owner of the tandem where my fork came from, he confirmed the name on the frame was Alpine, the custom builder from Maryland, and the tandem has that cross on the BB shells, the seatstay ends, maybe brake bridge.
