Due to an obsessive/compulsive disorder that I have unsuccessfully tried to treat with a steady, nightly consumption of Guiness, I just bought another Windsor.
I couldn't pass it up. A nice, silver, early '70's bike with full Nuovo Record group for $450. I recently saw a set of just the long-reach Campy brakes (this bike is fitted with optional Campagnolo brakes, not the standard Universals) go for nearly that much. Factor in the headset, bottom bracket, high-flange hub set, front and rear derailleurs, shifter assembly, seat post, crankset, and old logo Cinelli bars and stem and I have rationalized that the seller has actually paid ME to take his frameset. Besides, I think Windsors are kind of cool.
Apparently, no one else does, as these bikes don't seem to be very desireable?
