While it has been mentioned as a 3rd-tier model, I will say that I think that the Raleigh Super Course MK2 is probably the most beautiful Raleigh paint scheme in the raleigh lineup. While the workmanship up close is very ugly, from a distance these bikes are stunning. They are rarely sold on ebay and the framesets alone can often fetch prices approaching the international or competition and other high-end models.

These bikes will often fetch double what a pre-74 super course will fetch, despite the fact that it's essentially the same bike with minor changes to the derailleurs and alloy chainrings. So, paint matters!

The scheme :

is basically candy red or candy emerald green with white head panels and (1-5-1 small bikes) or (1-1-5-1-1 big bikes) seat panels, plus standard mid-70's decals, and prugnat lugs (which look stunning when offset against the white head panel.) This model was also offered as a Mixte, with the model-name decal on the chain stays.
